The professional practice of Land Surveying in Puerto Rico requiere the completition of a bachelors degree, and the approval of two exams; Fundamental Surveying and Professional Surveying, as well as other requirements from the Colegio de Ingenieros y Agrimensores de Puerto Rico.
The purpose of this course is to review the fundamental and professional principles tested on both exams. The course will cover the following topics:
1. Review of topics on NCEES FS and PS exams.
2. Guidance on research and compilation of materials necessary for an effective and organized study.
3. Conferences, practices and test simulations to review exam contents.
4. Training on the skills and strategies necessary to success on exams of this type.
The course is scheduled for 9 meetings of 4 hours, starting on Saturday, August 15, 2009. The course will be taught by professional surveyors that are part of the Geomatic Sciences Department faculty, which holds the only bachelors degree program in Land Surveying and Mapping in Puerto Rico accredited by ABET.
